Ebeagbor Testimony Ayobami, who is professionally known as Bami D’Genre (a name derived from Ayobami her Yoruba name), is a multi-talented musician and songwriter born in Lagos, Nigeria. Bami D’Genre showed great interest in every music genre since 2010 but is primarily focused on Trap soul, R&B, Afro fusion.

Bami d’Genre was born and raised in Lagos Metropolis, Nigeria by parents who hails from the Yoruba and Edo tribe in the western region and Southern region of the country. She is a Nigerian by nationality with a Christian background, she has slightly spoken about her faith and from her art you can decipher that she believes in God.

EDUCATION 

Bami D’Genre spent her early education days in Lagos and further went ahead to study IT and has gained serval Media and Tech certifications, it gave her an avenue to pursue her career in music.

AGE

Bami D’Genre is currently in her early age of 22, making her one of the young and fast rising stars in the Nigerian music industry.

CAREER 

She started performing music and dance at a tender age and released several freestyles online, she is what they call a triple threat actor. This helped her gain attention from various angles and also helped with building her personal brand online using different social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook among others. However, it was in 2021 that She began to attract the public attention to her Voice with the help of some Nigerian celebrities and social media influencers like Tunde Ednut, Yung John and a lot more who have been helping her to gain more exposure and significantly grow her fanbase across multiple social platforms.

It was said that in the journey of her career, she has also veered into Dancing, Art & Design and Fashion , but she never took it seriously as a career. However, her deep passion for music has made her resolute to fully concentrate on becoming a musician.
